ACOUSTIC | FOLK | COUNTRY | SINGER-SONGWRITER | DUO
Somewhere June is the musical partnership of Nicole Fyfe and David Fou. Inspired by folk, country and pop, the Wellington-based act combines close harmonies, thoughtful songwriting and warm acoustic textures. Performing as either an intimate acoustic duo or with an expanded live band, Somewhere June delivers original music that balances engaging storytelling with dynamic live performances.
About the Project
Named after the month they were both born, Somewhere June grew naturally from a shared love of songwriting, storytelling and creating music together.
The pair met while Nicole was recording her debut EP in 2024, and their musical connection was immediate. Bringing together Nicole's foundation in songwriting and David's instinctive musicianship, Somewhere June has become a space where ideas are shared, challenged and shaped together. Their music explores the moments, relationships and observations that shape everyday life, creating songs that invite listeners to find a little of themselves in every story.
While some songs draw from personal experiences, many are inspired by the people and world around them, reflecting a shared passion for storytelling that sits at the heart of Somewhere June.
